Engagement Shots
26 March 2010 in WeddingA couple weekends ago we did our engagement shots in San Luis Obispo to get to know our photographer for the wedding. He did a great job and posted some to his blog, including the ones above. Take a look and let us know what you think.
Hotel Block
1 January 2010 in News, WeddingFor those of you who are out-of-towners, we’ve arranged for a hotel block for your convenience.
We now have 10 rooms reserved at the Tollhouse Hotel in Los Gatos, CA.
The block’s code is “GSWD76″, so use that if you want to get our rate. If you’re booking early, you might want to ask what the standard rate is though, as I don’t think our rate is as good as it gets until closer to the Main Event.
Update: Well, you guys booked up the hotel! If you didn’t get a room in time. The hotel has offered to put people up in their sister hotel in Campbell as an alternative. They’re also offering a waitlist for any rooms that may open from other reserved blocks around April 14th. Call them and they can set you up.
There are also other options very nearby with different price ranges and amenities, so feel free to take a look around.
Registry
3 November 2009 in News, WeddingAndromi has a registry!
Some of you have started to ask where we have registered so here’s the information.
For those of you that just want this information for later, you can just search for our names on weddingchannel.com. Remember it using these 4 simple questions.
- Who has star names like Andromi? Answer: Famous people.
- Where do you see famous people? Answer: On TV.
- What would a wedding themed TV channel be called? Answer: wedding channel.
- What would be that TV channel’s website? Answer: weddingchannel.com.
It’s that easy.
For those of you that want a direct link to our two registries (some might call this easier) here they are.
We’ve registered at Crate and Barrel, Macy’s, and Amazon.
Cake!
27 August 2009 in News, WeddingThis last weekend we spent some time working on wedding stuff and got the cake ordered.
Big thanks to Margaret’s French Bakery for making it really easy.
No pictures as the cake doesn’t exist yet, but it’s going to be 4 tiers. Green vanilla buttercream frosting with pink hydrangeas adorning the corners of each layer.
A different flavor for each layer as well…. From the bottom, Chocolate Raspberry, Vanilla with Strawberries, Orange Almond (a surprisingly delicious flavor), and Tiramisu.
When and Where
7 May 2009 in News, WeddingBy my own count, there are 6 question words that one can apply when asking things about a wedding… This weekend we just figured out two more of them.
Where?
The where is Radonich Ranch. Its an awesome, rustic, little venue that we found near Los Gatos on CA17 towards Santa Cruz.
I’ve taken a few pictures of it, and have them posted on Flickr in the Radonich Ranch photoset. They were taken on two different days, so don’t think that it got foggy over the course of a few minutes.
When?
The when is May 15th. Mark your calendars, and make sure that you’re stocked up on PTO, airline miles, or gasoline. Be there!
We don’t have much more in the way of details yet, but we’re working on it, and we’ll be sure to post them here when we work them out.
Hunting Venues
30 April 2009 in News, WeddingBe very very quiet… we’re hunting venues.
The search is on. It’s time to find a place to host this shindig… and that’s what the last one and a half weekends have been dedicated to. We’ve made some good ground, figured out a lot more about what we want and don’t want, and found a couple places that just might work.
We’ve worked out quite a list of places. Here’s a google map of all the locations (that I remember) that we’re interested in.
As you can see in the map, we’re color coding them… Blue = Not visited, Red = Bad, Yellow = So-so, and Green = Could work.
I’ve also got some pictures up on Flickr of some of the places we’ve been, check em out.
As always, if you have ideas or suggestions, email us!!! ViableVenues@andromi.info.
The Road to Engagement
31 March 2009 in Engagement, NewsHere’s a map I worked up using a GPS recording from my iPhone as we approached the engagement site.
If you look closely at the northeast corner of Spreckels Ditch, you can almost make out the waterfall.
Note: the “Proposal Site” is not 100% accurate, and shows the “Proposal Site” in the middle of Spreckels Ditch. The actual site was the north-east side of the waterfall, in the trees and bamboo that you can see lining the creek.
Engagement
30 March 2009 in Engagement, NewsWell, this is the first post of Andromi related info, because this is the first step on the way to true Andromi-dom.
Here goes nothing: Naomi and I got engaged on March 26th, 2009.
It was quite an event, we went to Maui, Hawaii and stayed at the awesome Sheraton Maui Resort, on Ka’anapali Beach, in Lahaina.
The engagement went down after a hike through a bamboo grove, at the base of a waterfall coming out of Spreckels Ditch.
We took a lot of pictures and I’ve posted some of the better ones on my Flickr page: Hawaii. I’ll be posting all engagement related pics in sets as part of the The Andromi Collection, so check back there if you’re looking to see if new pics have been added… But I’ll probably post a note here if there’s something new in there.
That’s all for now! Check back soon for more news.
